So, you are about to get married and started your research on your wedding photographer and make up artists.In this article, we will focus on the current wedding photography budget range in and around Kolkata & West Bengal. We will primarily discuss the budget for both side (Bride & Groom). To clarify the overall picture of the current market, let’s divide the market into 3 categories.
1. Low level budget (55,000 to 75,000 INR) –
With time and advancement of equipment, the lower budgets have also gone higher in last couple of years. However, we would still consider this as lower budget as compared to the other two categories.Usually assignments with a combination of full frame and crop sensor cameras that cover 3-4 days of complete rituals with 1 or 2 Canvera standard albums lie within this range. Sometimes the freshly formed teams or firms who are newly working in this industry and has lesser experience may include a complimentary pre wedding photoshoot within this package to invite more clients for the booking.
2. Mid level budget (85,000 to 1,25,000 INR)-
Usually assignments with a combination of full frame and crop sensor cameras that cover 3-5 days of complete rituals with 1 or 2 Canvera standard/entry level premium albums lie within this range. Depending on the budget a drone on wedding day might also be included in this price range. Since, non Bengali weddings have more rituals & events than regular Bengali weddings, hence the budget might go higher for them. Pre wedding photography OR both photography & videography might be a part of this range depending on the budget and contract.3. Higher level budget (1,35,000 to 2,00,000 INR)-
Usually assignments with all full frame, mirrorless cameras that cover 4-6 days of complete rituals with 2 Canvera premium albums (ranging from Premium Signature, Fab leather to Gala, Mesmera, Vintage wood) lie within this range. Pre/Post weddings photo & video are usually a part of this range depending on the budget and contract. Drones are usually a mandatory part of these price range. Since, non Bengali weddings have more rituals & events than regular Bengali weddings, hence the budget might go higher for them.
